Contact may be included in a Zencrack analysis subject to the capabilities of the interfaced finite element code. The contact may be defined to occur away from the crack region or it may occur close to the crack(s).
In some applications it may be required to model crack face contact. For the Zencrack-Abaqus interface this is simply achieved by requesting crack face contact via the Zencrack input file. The necessary contact surfaces and definitions are then generated automatically with extra control over interaction parameters available if required.
