Order entry
The order entry system is used to record customer order information in a real-time environment, i.e. while in telephone conversation with the customer. Automatic customer recognition via calling number identification enables relevant business details to be displayed on-screen as calls are received. Calls to regular customers are made on a scheduled basis, prompted by the automatic generation of standing orders and templates. A mail-box facility enables the scheduling and transfer of actions between users and system processing. When an order is ready for completion, it is transferred to the central order processing system. Ongoing, completed and archived orders may be reviewed on-screen via a combination of select criteria, e.g. customer, product, completion dates, type, etc..
