Maintenance management

HOLISMAT, a comprehensive material handling and maintenance management software system, was developed for a major oil operator. Designed to address the special problems encountered in offshore production, the integrated system provided management with a powerful tool to plan, generate and monitor all maintenance and material handling activities.

The application, developed in both text and GUI-based platforms, comprised several integrated generic functions, including: internal mailbox, maintenance scheduling (both corrective and preventative), work orders, requisitioning, goods receipts/returns, warehouse organisation, etc..

Zentech has also designed and developed software to support a maintenance strategy methodology, e.g. Development of Equipment Maintenance Strategies (DEMS), which identifies equipment critical to operations and selects the optimum maintenance method for each failure mode.

The software's main functions:

• identify equipment critical to production operations and its service requirements
• itemise resources required to perform maintenance
• record actual hours spent and parts used in doing the work
• control complete process from requisitioning to inventory control.
